Hello friends, and welcome to the New Year. We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. School started this week for our kids, but we still have a few weeks until Leap of Joy classes resume on January 20th. In the meantime, our founder Judy Richardson has been hard at work applying for grants to help us fund both our summer programming and next year’s classes. Even though the season of giving has come and gone, we want to encourage you to donate to our program to help perpetuate the learning and creative energy we try to instill in our kids. To donate you can use a credit card or Paypal through our main page at leapofjoy, org, or feel free to contact either scarpenter@leapofjoy,org or firstname.lastname@example.org. Any donation you make goes directly back into the program.
In other news we’ve set a date for our third annual Care to Dance showcase. Mark your calendars for Saturday May 9th. We won’t be using the Carver this year, but we’ll have a larger venue space in order to accommodate our growing audience of family and friends for all of our kids. In addition to monetary donations we will be accepting costume and set piece donations in order to make Care to Dance a theatrical wonder. Our showcase is very important for the kids as it allows them an open environment in which to express what they’ve learned throughout the year.
In closing, check out a few videos below edited by Marques Stewart (a fantastic addition to our Leap of Joy Team) from last year’s Care to Dance performance. We want to to thank you for all of your support, it’s been a wonderful year so far and we can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for Leap of Joy.
