It’s that time of year again! With school already in full swing we are gearing up to start our Leap of Joy classes. We have some new faces on our teaching staff this year, and some big events in the works!

This year we will once again have a booth at the Austin City Limits music festival. We’ll be bringing clothes, decorations, jewelry and more. All proceeds from the booth benefit our organization, so if you need to get some early Christmas shopping done our booth is definitely the right place to do it. We’ll be keeping our social media pages updated as we get closer to the festival dates, so don’t forget to check us out on ; Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Our inventory is unique, and we only do sales like these a few times a year. Don’t miss out!

As we grow as an organization we are constantly looking for ways to fund raise in order to ensure our students are getting the best class settings. This includes things like healthy snacks, fun costumes, prizes, game materials, and more.  This year as we have decided to throw a Day of the Dead extravaganza to help meet our goals. On November 1st at the new children’s interactive museum ,The Thinkery we will be celebrating life and wonder. The event will feature a vast array of activities and will be sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka, Austin Beer Works, The Alamo Drafthouse, Transmission, Tapas Bravas, and more. We will be selling food from Tapas Bravas, feature complimentary alchoholic beverages from Austin Beer Works and Deep Eddy Vodka. The Alamo Drafthouse’s Action Pack will also be there with a Totally 80s Sing along, followed by DJ Ariel Quintans. There is  no cover for this event, but we will be charging for games, and a raffle that has some fantastic prizes. We will also be accepting donations to Leap of Joy during the event. Check out our Facebook page for more information, and RSVP on our website through the link below.

We’ll have more updates through the coming weeks about all of our classes, check back soon to meet the new teachers. If you would like to volunteer for Leap of Joy and work with one of our instructors you can contact our assistant director Sarah at or through our Facebook page. It’s going to be a wonderful year, and we are so grateful to have so many supporters along the for the ride.
