Happy Holidays everyone! Here at Leap of Joy we’ve been getting ready for big things in the coming year. We’ve been doing a lot of fundraising, starting with ACL. Although we were cut short on the second weekend, we made a lot of new friends and were able to make a profit to fund our ever growing class load. In October, we organized our first annual adult only Halloween fundraiser at Spinners bar and grill. We all had a wonderful time and had enriching experiences with all those who came out to support us. A special thanks to our friends at Sweet Clouds Organic Cotton Candy who donated their amazing product to us for the event, and to all of our other sponsors and volunteers that donated to us as well.
Most recently we had our annual Holiday Bazaar, a private event showcasing merchandise hand made by our founder Judy Richardson, one of our creative teachers Janna Rock, and other vendors who we’ve been working with for most of our fundraising events. The Bazaar was greatly successful, a huge thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to us. Next up will be our second annual fundraiser, Care to Dance. This year it will again be at the Carver in East Central Austin. Stay tuned for more updates about Care to Dance, and highlights from our holiday performances from our wonderful Leap of Joy students.
